When my wife first took refuge with her guru, she heard that he personally treated patients, so she signed up. Her family has a history of hereditary heart disease, and she often experiences chest tightness and shortness of breath.
The doctor suspected a heart problem, but tests during the outpatient visit couldn't detect anything. The doctor advised that it's best to go to the hospital immediately upon experiencing symptoms, as this makes it easier to pinpoint the root cause of the problem.
During that time, I was frequently away on business trips and unable to take care of her. She had two seizures within three or four months. When she had a seizure, she was completely weak and unable to move, but her mind remained clear. Fortunately, we had nitroglycerin pills at home, and my child gave her the medicine immediately, and she gradually recovered.
After the master personally treated her, my wife happily told me that when the master examined her, he chatted and laughed with her like a friend, which made her feel very comfortable.
The master said first, "My new disciple, your husband, may seem all smiles, but he has quite a temper." Upon hearing this, the wife immediately felt admiration for the master.
My guru told my wife that if her condition reached level 4, she would "pass away." It's currently level 2.5, which is also serious. After this treatment, in addition to continuing her medication at home, she also needs to practice the "Heart-Center Meditation Method" and the "Overwhelming Force Meditation Method."
The next day at noon, my wife called me very excitedly. Several of my colleagues in the office noticed that she hadn't been out of breath all morning. On the phone, she kept repeating, "The Guru is amazing! Just cupping and a few acupuncture needles and I'm all better."
I think my guru must have used the legendary "self-other exchange method" to save my wife; otherwise, how could such a serious heart condition have been cured in just one treatment?
Once, when I was treating patients myself, I raised a question that had been bothering me: "When the guru is treating us, will it affect the guru's health?"
The master said, "If you use the normal methods of treating illnesses with traditional Chinese medicine, then it won't happen."
I have a very good friend who was in charge of the kitchen staff during a retreat at the monastery. Thanks to the compassionate blessing of the Guru, her son's life was saved, and his recovery was so rapid that it surprised the doctors.
My friend's son suffered a sudden brain hemorrhage. Although he was given emergency treatment, the surgeon told her that due to the large amount of bleeding in his brain and cerebellum, which affected his speech nerves, although he could be saved, there was a 90% chance that he would not be able to regain his daily living abilities.
She was devastated when it happened. She told me this through tears.
I remembered that I had enshrined a statue of the Medicine Buddha for my father, so I suggested that she do the same for her son. Upon hearing this, she immediately performed the meritorious act of making the offering for her son.
Several months later, her son recovered remarkably well; he could not only speak again, but his motor skills also improved daily. The attending physician found it incredible and considered it a miracle.
My friend said she knew in her heart that it was the blessing of the Guru and the Three Jewels. The Guru is so compassionate.
I know a monk in China who can predict the future, and his predictions are very accurate. He once predicted the day my mother would pass away, as well as the time when my cousin's grandparents would pass away, and even the exact hour of their death, and all of these predictions came true.
Therefore, when he said that my father "has a major hurdle, and the old man's lifespan is coming to an end," I felt sad.
After returning to the United States, I had the opportunity to see my guru and told him about my worries. After listening, my guru told me in a calm tone that if I worshipped the golden statue of the Medicine Buddha on behalf of my father, I would accumulate merit and the Medicine Buddha would bless my father.
The master said that, in addition, the mantra of Medicine Buddha and the Medicine Buddha Sutra should be played at home every day so that the elderly can recite them along with him.
I gladly did as instructed. My father is old and healthy enough to travel between the United States and China on his own.
All of this is due to the compassionate blessings and protection of the Guru.
